Through karate, children develop their motor skills, flexibility, strength, and reaction speed. Classes typically include a warm-up, defensive and offensive techniques, forms (hyungs), and preparatory exercises for sparring. Every class begins and ends with a short bow and meditation ceremony.

Tang Soo Do aims to make you more resilient through the practice of self-defense. In addition to the physical aspect, karate is also a form of mental training. For example, a shy child may learn about strength and self-confidence, while an energetic child learns about calmness and self-control. Many exercises are done in pairs sometimes working together, sometimes in opposition. This can stir up a lot of emotions, which children learn to manage. Cooperation, safety, discipline, and perseverance are key elements of the training.

The youth group is for children from around 6 to 15 years old.

The classes are given by Max Goores and Jeroen Tjepkema.
